Gary Numan and Nightmare Air live at The Paradise Rock Club

Editor's Note: Hello again, Numan. Electronic music pioneer Gary Numan rolled back into Boston last night for another spin at The Paradise Rock Club, bringing The Second Savage North American Tour to town in support of last fall's Savage (Songs from a Broken World). And this time around, it was a family affair, as Numan welcomed on stage his daughter Persia to sing on 2017's “My Name Is Ruin.” It was a pretty cool turn of events inside the Commonwealth Avenue rock club, and the full room was certainly grateful to experience the 60-year-old synth icon live and in the flesh. Ted Petrosky was present among the lively crowd on behalf of Vanyaland, holding his ground between fairly physical Numan enthusiasts to capture snaps of him and the night's openers, Los Angeles alternative art-rock trio Nightmare Air.
