Clan of Xymox and Stoneburner live at ONCE Ballroom

Editor's Note: In a week where plenty of shows around the Boston area were cancelled due to the weather, Clan of Xymox showed up and sold out. The veteran 4AD goth/darkwave project, now led by Ronny Moorings, braved the elements to get to an enthusiastic ONCE Ballroom in Somerville last night (March 14) for one of the first live show offerings from the hustle behind monthly goth/industrial night Corrosion Boston. "Against all odds we made it to Boston," Moorings wrote on Facebook. "Landed in New York, where they told us that our connecting flight was cancelled and no flight would be available for the coming two days. Trains and buses were all cancelled and sold out for the next days... 1 rental car was left, we got it and we drove to Boston. It was quiet on the roads... Pff." That kind of urgency is pure for a band undergoing their first extended stateside tour in 18 years, and Clan of Xymox certainly delivered. Ted Petrosky was in the room and among the revelers to capture visuals of Xymox and opener Stoneburner, and you can flip through his full gallery below.
