Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.

In a few short years, Boston rock dynamo Hey Zeus have leveled pretty much every stage around town. And now the dudes will soon be taking their riffage to the masses on a much broader level as they have signed a deal with Argonauta Records.

The Italy-based metal, sludge, doom, stoner, and whatever else label announced the news this morning, and new music from Hey Zeus should be delivered in a few months. “Hey Zeus were born with the single mission of bringing to life a rock and roll riot,” the label says. “With elements both classic and modern, gripping songs and just enough punk attitude to let you know when it’s time to screw off (now works), their stage presence and songwriting tap into something essential and primal about heavy rock and roll and leave tired crowds begging for more.”

Boston knows this.

Starting with a split with White Dynomite back in spring 2016, Hey Zeus have digitally released a string of bangers to their Bandcamp, most recently the barn-storming “X”. They also went to the finals of the 2017 Rock And Roll Rumble, woo-hoo’ing ONCE Ballroom with some rock adrenaline and showmanship, a gong, and a giant neon cross that probably upset the Catedral de Adoracao churchgoers upstairs. Now they’ll pull it all together for their debut full-length LP, set to arrive via Argonauta this fall.

“Over the past four years we have been blasting massive riffage & volume all up and down the Eastern U.S.” the band says. “We are proud as hell to finally have our first release coming this fall through the fine folks at Argonauta Records!”

Hey Zeus play Geno’s in Portland on March 23, so roll up I-95 with the windows down and buy the men a drink or six.
