The rumors are true — Pearl Jam are playing Fenway Park again.
After the band’s website accidentally leaked the dates over the weekend, we now have proper confirmation that Eddie Vedder and the dudes will play the home of the Boston Red Sox on September 2 and 4.
That’s a nice extended Labor Day weekend right there.
In addition to a pair of “Home Shows” at Safeco Field in Seattle August 8 and 10, Pearl Jam will also play a handful of “Away Shows” before the Fenway gigs: Washington–Grizzly Stadium in Montana on August 13, and Chicago’s Wrigley Field on August 18 and 20.
Pearl Jam’s not-so-secret return to Fenway has expanded the ballpark’s summer concert series, which now includes Zac Brown Band (June 14 and 15), Foo Fighters (July 21 and 22), Billy Joel (August 10), and Journey and Def Leppard (August 11).
Tickets to Pearl Jam’s gigs at Fenway go on sale to the general public on February 21. But because this is Pearl Jam, there are several layers to the on-sales. Below is the info we have, straight from Live Nation…
1. Ticketmaster Verified Fan Registration and Ticket Sale
General public tickets will be sold first through a presale powered by Ticketmaster Verified Fan. Pearl Jam has partnered with Ticketmaster to create a safe, reliable, ticket-buying experience and ensure tickets get directly to fans for all of these concert dates.
A simple registration is required and only fans that have been verified and invited to the presale will receive an access code that will allow them to shop for tickets. Ticketmaster Verified Fan registration begins today and closes on Tuesday, February 6 at 4 p.m. PT. To register, please visit: pearljam.tmverifiedfan.com
The Verified Fan presale then begins on Friday, February 16 at 10 a.m. venue local time.
Ticketmaster Verified Fan is committed to getting more tickets into the hands of fans, not scalpers or bots. 2. Ten Club Ticket Presale
A special ticket presale for members of Pearl Jam’s Ten Club (current as of January 23, 2018) begins February 7 at 10 a.m. PT. Full details at pearljam.com.
3. Public Ticket Sale
A remaining, limited number of tickets will be released through a traditional general sale on February 21 at 10 a.m. local time through each venue’s official ticket vendor.
