Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.

There’s something wonderfully refreshing about the sound of Phenomenal Sun. The Boston quartet crashed our earholes back in October with their gritty debut track “Gone And Alone”, and this week return with a psych-leaning visual for follow-up single “Big Eye.” Formed by singer/guitarist Adam Luciano and drummer Kyle Rasmussen in late 2015 and since rounded out by guitarist Tim Brown (Found Audio) and bassist Kevin Boldwin (Cask Mouse), Phenomenal Sun make us both nostalgic for the heyday of ’90s alternative and excited for their arrival on the local scene. “Big Eye” has us daydreaming of chill summer afternoons spent driving with the windows down, but first comes the band’s debut live show, a February 3 guitar romp at O’Brien’s Pub in Allston alongside Cortez, David Age & The Regrets, and Test Meat. Get in on the ground level, because we expect things to rise quickly from here. Featured image via video screengrab.
