Marilyn Manson ‘parts ways’ with bassist Twiggy Ramirez following rape allegation

Following rape allegations made against bassist Twiggy Ramirez this week, Marilyn Manson has officially “parted ways” with the musician and removed him from the band.

Manson, who recently postponed his tour due to an onstage injury, posted to social media last night (October 24) that he had severed ties with longtime bandmate and collaborator Ramirez, and that Ramirez would be replaced when the tour started again.

In the statement, Manson referred to Ramirez by his legal name, Jeordie White.

“I have decided to part ways with Jeordie White as a member of Marilyn Manson,” his post states. “He will be replaced for the upcoming tour. I wish him well.”

Manson has not yet announced who will replace Ramirez.

After playing Ozzfest in California on November 5, Manson’s tour resumes for 20 European dates to close out 2017. The North American tour resumes in January for 23 shows, including a rescheduled Boston date, February 12 at the House of Blues.
