‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’: Breaking down each scene from the thrilling new trailer

As we did with the first teaser and the behind-the-scenes featurette that Lucasfilm released at D23, we're here to recap all of the things you might have missed in last night's Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer. We know, it took us a while to stop gawking at the Porg in order to pay attention to the whole thing.

Shockingly enough, there's not that much there that we didn't already know from Force Friday reveals or any number of rumors that have made their way around the internet. We've known for a bit about the locations and the certain comings-and-goings of characters throughout the film, but this is probably our greatest confirmation of its tone and narrative thrust -- it's gonna be dark as hell! Though there's a great deal of concealment going on here as well: We don't see Benicio Del Toro or Laura Dern or Kelly Marie Tran, and we also don't get to see any of Canto Bight As always, if you want to remain perfectly pure and spoiler-free, don't read this article.

Still, why the hell did you watch the trailer anyway? Rian Johnson warned you!

AT-M6s on the march towards the Resistance hideout. We barely glimpsed these in the last teaser, but they’ve been all over the marketing since them (you can buy a Lego version right now if you’d like). I still love the knuckle-dragging, though, and it’s interesting that Kylo’s shuttle is hanging over them- Vader wouldn’t have enjoyed being in that circumstance, I think.
