Photo Gallery: Prophets of Rage live at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston

Editor’s Note: So hey we just rolled down Commonwealth Avenue to make sure the Paradise Rock Club was still standing. Last night (September 7), sonically-armed supergroup Prophets of Rage rolled into town, playing the mid-size Boston club with enough fury, firepower, and musical pedigree to fill a venue several times larger. In fact, last time they were in New England, they jammed out at the 12,000-capcity XFinity Center in Mansfield; so those one-thousand folks in attendance last night at the ‘Dise got quite an underplay treat, as Prophets of Rage ripped through decades’-worth of the collective’s classics — jolts from Rage Against the Machine, Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, Audioslave jostled with the group’s original compositions on a night of shouted-back bars and lyrics and proper rock and rap anthems. Vanyaland’s Matthew Shelter was at the ‘Dise to capture visuals from the show, nestled up in a balcony box overlooking the action. Scan through his full gallery below.
