Photo Gallery: Spoon and The New Pornographers live at Blue Hills Bank Pavilion

Editor's Note: A few songs into Spoon's headlining set Friday night (July 21) at Boston's Blue Hills Bank Pavilion, frontman Britt Daniel gave the sort of declaration he's been issuing for the past dozen or so years: He turned his camera on. Unsurprisingly, Ben Stas beat him to the click, as the Boston photographer was, by that point, already up close and personal with the Austin rock band, in town supporting March's Hot Thoughts LP. The night was a proper showcase for modern indie rock, as joining Spoon on this summer North American jaunt are Canadian rock royalty The New Pornographers, themselves showing off a sterling new record in April's Whiteout Conditions. Without needing ay sort of prompt, Stas was under the tent to capture visuals for both bands, and you can scan through his full gallery below.
