Corey Feldman announces ‘Corey’s Heavenly Tour: Angelic 2 The U.S.’, and it’s coming to Haverhill

We here at Vanyaland like to have some good natured fun with Corey Feldman.

When the actor and musician dresses like Kylo Ren and gives a strange American flag-dropping performance on the Today Show, we’re all over it. When he performs at a minor league baseball stadium and horrifies the crowd, we post that too. And when he releases a new single, we show it some love.

Goonies never say die.

Simply put, we’re fascinated by Feldman, and it’s not just because we think his 2013 single “Ascension Millennium” is fucking awesome (no, seriously).

This week, Feldman has announced a 34-date summer tour, and his run — titled “Corey’s Heavenly Tour: Angelic 2 The U.S.” — comes to Haverhill’s Whiskey Barrel on July 12. There’s a Facebook page for the event, and no, it’s not one of those “KoRn plays KFC” fake events that were popular in recent years.

On this tour, Feldman promises to perform “a selection of greatest hits from both his previous solo albums, & his original music from his hit films, & also a few hit songs from his film soundtracks that were written and performed by other artists as well.”

That quote is from the press release, which is all kinda of great, too. Here’s more:

“Pop culture icon Corey Feldman will truly ‘Go 4 It’ this summer as he has just announced that he is doubling the amount of tour dates, and the capacity of the venues they are booking, with his all new summer tour inspirationally titled ‘Corey’s Heavenly Tour: Angelic 2 The U.S.’ The reason for the extension and bigger rooms is based on the overwhelming success of his current mini tour… The new tour will continue the tradition of showcasing his all Angel Band, comprised of Beautiful and Talented young female artists and musicians, led by the masterful musical direction of Margot Lane, and accompanied by his very own wife Courtney Anne, who also happens to be a DJ, performing as DJAC in the show. Courtney, like the rest of the band, is a multi instrumentalist who also sings, and plays piano.”

Get down with some “Ascension Millennium”, and check out all the dates after the jump.
