Like A Motorway: Saint Etienne announce first North American tour in five years

Last week London dance-pop trio Saint Etienne unveiled both a new album (Home Counties, out June 2 on Heavenly Recordings), and a lead single (hear “Heather” below), with the promise of some North American tour dates to follow later this year. It didn’t take long for Sarah Cracknell, Bob Stanley, and Pete Wiggs to fulfill that promise, as today Saint Etienne have announced a nine-date stateside run that kicks off September 24 at ONCE Ballroom in Somerville.

Tickets for the ONCE show go on sale Friday (March 31) at 10 a.m.

Included in Saint Etienne’s first U.S. tour in five years are shows in New York City, Brooklyn, Washington D.C., Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, Pomona and Los Angeles. Check the full itinerary below.

“We apologise that we can’t get round the country a bit more — especially Canada and some of the Southern States — and hope that some of you can make the trip out to see us,” Saint Etienne write. “We’ll be playing brand new material from Home Counties plus a good selection of songs you’ll know from our back catalogue. Yes, we’ll be bringing merchandise and we look forward to seeing you in the fall.”
