Editor's Note: Friday night's Peter Murphy show at the Middle East was relatively insane. The Bauhaus frontman was in Cambridge for the latest stop on his Stripped tour, where he performs familiars and covers spanning a 40-year career. But what made headlines over the weekend was his mid-show incident with the Middle East's security, as one guard decided to eat his venue-supplied dinner on the side of the stage while Murphy was performing a Bowie cover (click link for details). Things got heated and vulgar, and Murphy and the guard nearly came to blows; the singer walked off stage for 10 minutes until things calmed down. There was also a bizarre interaction with a fan in the name of Trump, and Murphy didn't seem too pleased with all the camera phones in action, but in the end the veteran performer delivered one hell of a show, and Ben Stas was on hand for Vanyaland to capture some visuals.
