Well, it’s officially official: The Ride reunion is no simple nostalgia act.
Last night at Concorde 2 in Brighton, England, the reunited shoegazers debuted three new songs, and they were captured on video by uber-fan Kimberly Blessing. The videos below only show snippets of each track, so there’s still some mystery left to discover; however, this does give us a nice indication of the band’s 2.0, post-reunion direction.
Ride are playing two nights at Concorde 2 before a Saturday gig at British fest Bestival on the Isle of Wight, alongside the Cure, Major Lazer, Hot Chip, Wolf Alice, Wiz Khalifa, and several others.
The band officially reformed last year, and played the Paradise Rock Club in Boston in October.
