Crystal Fighters have been grounded.
The multinational, London-and-Brooklyn-based pop-rock sextet has cancelled all 11 dates of their upcoming North American tour, including a September 29 date at the Sinclair in Cambridge. Refunds are available.
“Dear Fighters,” the band writes online, with a longer message posted in flyer-form (see below). “We are so sorry to say we are rearranging our US tour this fall. We’ll be back with the new dates very shortly.”
In the message below, Crystal Fighters suggest the cancellation is over the delay in completing their new album, the follow-up to 2013 sophomore record Cave Rave. As we’ve previously reported, the album is reported to have been recorded this past winter in three distinct locations: Spain’s Basque Country, Los Angeles, and London.
Hopefully they keep their promise to get back in our town come springtime.
