LP Re-Premiere: Burglary Years re-release 100 Roses, add three demo tracks, new artwork

Sometimes you find yourself with 100 Roses, and yet you still end up yearning for more.

That's the case with Boston modern rock outfit Burglary Years, who this Friday are re-releasing last year's spectacular debut album 100 Roses via Disposable America. The record still includes standout track "Hatch", one of our Most Played And Most Favorite Songs of 2015, but now comes with updated artwork, a proper reflection of the band in 2016, and three new demo cuts: "Hey, do you wanna come over", "Sours", and "Ghostwriter".

The re-boot falls in line with the melodic, moody album's identity as a living, breathing piece of work. Like life itself, there is no real beginning nor any tangible end.

"100 Roses is an unfinished memoir," says Burglary Years vocalist Greg Cook. "100 Roses is all the times you sold yourself in too many ways, 100 Roses is the feeling you get right before you meet the love of your life and the feeling you get right when they let you go."

Dustin J.S. Watson of Disposable America says the re-issue was necessary as the young band continues to realize its vision and potential. "When 100 Roses was first released last year, it was a culmination of the years of work the band had put into it up until then," Watson tells Vanyaland, "but in just the half a year since its release, Burglary Years has seen some line-up changes and a rededication to being part of the Boston indie pop and rock scene. In recognition of this, the band decided they wanted to redirect and treat the update like a reissue, rather than simply giving the same tape a second pressing."
