The 1990 solo debut from Bruce Dickinson, Tattooed Millionaire, was unlike his main gig in Iron Maiden in that the songs were more condensed and straight ahead rock, bolstered by a faithful rendition of “All the Young Dudes,” a track which was written by Bowie and first released by Mott the Hoople in 1972. It would later appear on an expanded anniversary edition of Bowie’s own Aladdin Sane, and the singer performed it live on multiple occasions over the years.
