Jumping The Left Shark: Coldplay will perform live during Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show

Take a seat, Bruno Mars. Move over, Katy Perry. And sorry, Madonna.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Coldplay will be the live act during February’s Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, California.

The British rock band’s seventh studio album, A Head Full of Dreams, is out tomorrow via Parlophone and Atlantic Records, and they are expected to tour it considerably for most of 2016. The Super Bowl, on February 7, provides a pretty significant jump-off.

Last year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show featured Perry, Missy Elliott, and an instantly infamous Left Shark. We’ll see if frontman Chris Martin brings some monkeys along for this spectacle.
