Django Django offer a glimpse of roadside American tour life in video for ‘Shot Down’

British art-rock band Django Django have been touring fairly relentlessly over the past few years, on the strength of two solid LPs and an impressive string of singles (we’re partial to this year’s “First Light”, personally). Nw the London group have shared a new video for “Shot Down”, and it’s a look at their recent jaunt across the United States.

There’s a lot of parking meters, fireworks, and endless highways. America!

“Shot Down” was directed by Django Django drummer/producer Dave Maclean, who captured most of the footage on his phone, and edited by collaborator Ben Crook. There’s an aggressive use of kaleidoscope filters, but that just enhances the experience.

“I filmed this footage over two U.S. tours this year traveling north to south, east to west over nearly 2 months,” Maclean explains, via DIY. “The footage was all filmed on my phone camera as a document of touring life on the road Stateside.”

Watch it below, and peep Django Django’s Euro run of tour dates after the video jump.
