Urban Outfitters’ Cambridge location in Harvard Square is celebrating its 35 anniversary with a free party this Friday night with DIIV. The Brooklyn guitar-rock band, which is expected to release sophomore record Is the Is Are sometime next month, will perform live in the Urban Outfitters basement space.
Doors are at 10 p.m., just after the store ends its usual operating hours, and organizers are asking anyone who wants to attend the show to get there early, as space is extremely limited. Complimentary refreshments will be served by Harpoon Brewery.
Meanwhile, DIIV recently unveiled new single “Dopamine,” and will return to Cambridge next weekend as their North American tour hits the hits the Sinclair on October 10. Just in time for the tour, Is the Is Are is expected to drop sometime in the coming weeks via Captured Tracks.
