Boston Calling Music Festival is still going on, but with Daughter and Twin Shadow filling the Sunday afternoon session with sleepiness, we’re already daydreaming back to CHVRCHES’ captivating set last night under the cover of nights and lights at an illuminated City Hall Plaza. As Vanyaland’s Barry Thompson alluded to in his review of the evening’s festivities, the Scottish electronic pop trio played a mix of older tunes and new tracks off brand new LP Every Open Eye, and opened up their Saturday night pre-headlining show with still-fresh spring single “Leave A Trace.”
Watch fan-filmed video of the performance below. And feel released as the booming sound proves a bit too much for a smart phone to truly capture. But the essence and mysticism in CHVRCHES’ show remains evident.
