Video Premiere: Ruby Rose Fox drives home her emotion on the majestic ‘Golden Boy’

The best music video allow the song to keep center stage. It’s not always done properly, but when it is, the visuals allow for a nice complement to the single most important aspect of any performer, the music. This morning, we are honored to premiere Ruby Rose Fox’s new video for “Golden Boy,” the Boston singer’s recent single previously only available to contributors to her album’s ongoing Pledge campaign.

The video, produced by Ruby Rose Fox and Roger Metcalf, shows a golden Ruby driving along the city, the viewer riding shotgun for an emotional ride.

The song won’t be officially released until early next year, but the visual was fast-tracked to coincide with Ruby Rose Fox’s upcoming performance at Sound Of Our Town 2, a collaborative effort from the Boston Music Awards and Vanyaland, September 24 at the Lawn On D in South Boston on the edge of the Seaport District. The party is free, all-ages, and also stars Will Dailey, Tribe Society, Bearstronaut, Vundabar, Oh Malô, Mikey Holland’s American Denim supergroup with various guests, DJ Ninja B, and host and MC Moe Pope.

Last year at the BMAs, Ruby Rose Fox took home Best Female Vocalist. She was also nominated in the Singer-Songwriter of the Year category and scored a slot on the Boston Globe’s “10 Bands and Solo Artists to Watch in 2015” list. Watch “Golden Boy” below…
