The Boston garage rock band announced this morning an eight-date Japanese tour that kicks off September 4 in Tokyo and wraps September 12 in, well, the Tokyo neighborhood of Kouenji. In between, however, they make stops in Kobe, Kyoto, Yokohama, and elsewhere along the country; check out the full run of dates below.
The band’s latest record, Dial M For Muck, out last year on the UK’s Dirty Water Records, has become a cult hit in Japan and it’s no real surprise — due to a relentless touring schedule and one of the best live shows around, Muck And The Mires have developed an underground following around the world. The gents are back in town with a homecoming gig October 26 at Sally O’Brien’s in Somerville. Bring saké.
