Dearly Beloved: Ruby Rose Fox serves up some gospel in two new powerhouse singles

For the past few years, Ruby Rose Fox has been a Boston treasure. Now, she’s taking her musical sermon on the road, and tucked under her arm like a Bible meant for good are a pair of gospel-kissed singles that should help bring the word to the masses.

Fox today dropped two singles, “Good Friday/Gloria” and “Blue Angel,” and it properly primes her for an upcoming tour with Martha Davis & the Motels. The nine-date run kicks off April 13 at the Music Box in Cleveland and wraps up April 25 in Bay Shore, New York. There are Massachusetts shows in Beverly (April 22 at the Larcom Theatre) and Natick (The Center For Arts on April 24), but none in Indiana.

Which is a shame, as these tracks could teach the Hoosier State a thing or two about love and compassion.

“These two tunes were a collaboration of two producers named Sean McLaughlin at 37′ Productions and Benny Grotto, Producer/Recordist/Mixer/Musician at Mad Oak Studios, co-engineered by Steph Durwin,” writes the Fox.

Listen to “Good Friday/Gloria” below via Bandcamp, and hit up iTunes to snag companion single “Blue Angel.”
