Damn It’s Good: Here’s a conversation between St. Vincent and Gang Of Four’s Andy Gill

Today is the day of 45-minute enrichment. Not too long after we posted our interview with Roz And The Rice Cakes and their new “album video”, along comes a cool discussion between St. Vincent’s Annie Clark and Andy Gill of Gang of Four. The podcast was facilitated by The Talkhouse, which had previously connected Carrie Brownstein with Hamilton Leithauser and Liam Wilson with Kip Winger, among others, in their ongoing music series.

The timing of this latest chat couldn’t be better: Gang of Four play the Paradise Rock Club in Boston Friday night in support of ripping new album What Happens Next, and of course, St. Vincent is scheduled as a can’t-miss artist at spring’s Boston Calling Music Festival.

Among the topics discussed between the post-punk legend and art-rock queen include the Grateful Dead, distortion pedals, and soccer tricks. Forty-five minutes wasn’t enough, but it’ll do for now.

Oh, and go Revs!
