It wasn’t easy to survive the rock onslaught and eventual indie wash-out of the 2000s, but Cold War Kids are still standing tall. The California band has endured over the past decade on the strength of five strong studio albums, and the most recent effort, last year’s Hold Me Home, is still bearing musical fruit.
Today, Cold War Kids unveiled the video for the album’s latest single, “Hot Coals,” and it captures the band’s live show. “Our good buddy Vern Moen shot this video at a home show at The Regent Theater in L.A. and captured the colours and mood of the song,” the Kids relay in a presser.
