British rock band Suede were honored with a ‘Godlike Genius’ award at tonight’s NME Awards, and Brett Anderson and company treated the crowd at London’s O2 Academy Brixton to their classic hits and some new material.
One new track, allegedly titled “All I’m Trying To Tell You,” was captured on film and can be previewed below. It’s a slinky, moonlit guitar-rock tune that’s among a slew of new Suede music expected later this year, and could be a part of the Britpop kickstarters’ first proper release since the singles off masterful 2013 comeback record Bloodsports.
Meanwhile at the NME Awards itself, Royal Blood took home Best New Band, Kasabian were named Best British Band, and Jake Bugg was honored with Best Solo Artist. For the full list of winners, click here.
