Report: Slint founding member David Pajo survives suicide attempt

David Pajo, a founding member of Slint who is also known for his work in bands like Zwans and Tortoise, has reportedly survived a suicide attempt. Reports on Electrical Audio early this morning say EMS were able to thwart the attempt, though few details have made public.

The Louisville native posted a lengthy suicide note to his personal website late last night with the headline I Surrender To My Broken Heart, and asked his followers on Instagram to read it. Two days prior, he posted a photo of himself wearing a noose.

As Consequence of Sound notes, Pajo has also collaborated with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Interpol, Will Oldham, and Stereolab, and performed solo as Papa M and Pajo.

He is 46.
