Millions of people around the world have woken up on this Friday morning ready to make a series of mistakes across the upcoming weekend. Most of them will have to do with a lover, a would-be lover, or an ex-lover. Not Nina Yasmineh.
In the new video for her devastatingly seductive single for “Dark Heart,” Yasmineh is ready to move on. “I let my baby go/I left my love behind,” she sings on a loop that’s destined to be in your head all weekend. “Dark Heart” is a minimal post-R&B pop track that allows her vocals to take front and center.
The New York-based, Minneapolis-raised singer/songwriter has been on our radar for a while, probably since dropped “Ghost” a year ago, but the sleek allure of “Dark Heart” should raise her game into the upper-echelon of female electronic pop performers.
Even with that “Dark Heart” of hers.
