While being stranded in a Western New York blizzard for several days back in November, Interpol had to cancel several dates on their tour for new album El Pintor (remember #Winterpol?). Now the New York City post-punk band have revealed their new dates for 2015, and it includes several stops of rescheduled shows from the prior tour, including a return to Boston, July 23 and 24 at the House of Blues.
July 23 is the rescheduled date, we’re told, and it appears July 24 is a new show to coincide with the spring tour.
Fortunately, there is zero chance of a snowstorm in late July. Though we guess anything is possible in 2015.
Interpol revealed the new dates via social media earlier today, also noting that their Toronto date has not been rescheduled, due to the closing of Kool Haus and Sound Academy. A new show at a new location will be announced shortly.
In the meantime, head to Do617 to win tickets to the second HOB date; all previously purchased tickets will be honored.
North American Shows
We are happy to announce our first North American shows of 2015. We have dates scheduled in Tucson, Raleigh, Detroit and many other cites around the continent. We have also rescheduled the postponed shows from last fall in Boston (now on July 23rd) and Montreal (July 31st). If you bought tickets for either date, your original tickets will be honored at the new shows. Folks in Toronto who have tickets for the postponed show at Kool Haus, we will have an announcement for you shortly.
A limited amount of pre-sale tickets will be available beginning tomorrow, Wednesday January 21st at Noon local time via http://interpolnyc.com/shows/ with the remainder of tickets becoming available Friday January 23rd at 10am local time (with the exception of the Brooklyn show which will be on sale at Noon EST).
