Rock And Roll Rumble Final named Boston’s best show of 2014 by Do617

The public votes are in, and our sister site Do617 has declared April’s Rock And Roll Rumble Finals Boston’s top show or concert of 2014.

The grand finale of the 35th annual Rumble at T.T. The Bear’s Place in Cambridge featured a victorious Goddamn Draculas, a spirited Petty Morals and Await Rescue, and a reunited Information as special guest. It bested Boston Calling Music Festival’s September edition and Jack White’s gig at Fenway Park for the gold.

In the Do617 voting, which was open to the public for the past three weeks, the Rumble finals took in 31 percent of the vote, while Boston Calling scored 22 percent and White secured 19 percent.

So we guess you can say the Goddamn Draculas won twice.

The feisty rock and roll band will no doubt celebrate accordingly at their record release party February 7 at the Middle East Downstairs with Party Bois, Township, Auqanutz, and Planeoid. Meanwhile catch Petty Morals performing the music as the Go-Go’s January 3 at the Sinclair with Power of Love (Huey Lewis & the News cover band) and Heart Attack Ack Ack Ack Ack Ack (honoring Billy Joel), while Await Rescue plays the Middle East on January 9 with Twin Berlin, DAve Crespo’s Afterparty, the Fatal Flaw and others.

In case you are wondering, we’re pretty sure that Info set was a one-and-done.
