Confidence Is A Preference: Russell Brand takes on ‘Parklife’ parody and recreates the classic Blur video

Last week the internet decided to have some fun with British comedian Russell Brand, taking his political and social rants and adding “Parklife!” at the end of them. The act was a nod to Blur’s 1994 Britpop hit, which uses the refrain after similar-sounding commentary from Phil Daniels.

So naturally, Brand has fired back with his own parody of the parody.

Brand told the BBC: “I watched the video recently and thought yeah, fair enough, I’ll have that.”

Though other parody videos have sprung up in recent days, Brand’s own version is truly for “all the people, so many people…”

Brand’s new book, Revolution, is out now.
