Nancy Do: Listen to a new Fat Creeps song before their record release tonight @ Middlesex

Beloved North Shore garage-pop trio Fat Creeps are back in town after a two-week tour of the East Coast and a few select westward points, and holy shit they have a new record to show off to us.

Must Be Nice — and it certainly is, because that’s the name of the album.

As you pick out what to wear to their record release party tonight at Middlesex Lounge in Cambridge with Bugs & Rats and the Lentils (formerly known around New England as the Happy Jawbone Family Band), check out a new track from the Creeps below. It’s called “In Name Only” and its got a more chill vibe than “Comes In Loudly” and “Having So Much Fun”, two rollicking riff-brigade tracks we’ve digested from the band earlier this year.

Meanwhile, the Creeps just relayed a message via Facebook to get us even more jazzed up for tonight’s festivities:

WELL WHAT A JOURNEY IT HAS BEEN!!! THESE PAST 2 WEEKS WE SAW SOME GREAT CITIES, MET SOME TRULY AMAZING PEOPLE, ROCKED OUT WITH SOME INCREDIBLE BANDS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY FORMED A CLOSE BOND WITH OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN THE LENTILS. THE ONLY TIME THE TWO BANDS WERE EVER APART WERE FOR THE DRIVES BETWEEN SHOWS AND EVEN THEN IT FELT LIKE TOO LONG. I DONT KNOW HOW WE ARE GONNA SAY GOODBYE TO OUR NEW FAMILY TONIGHT, BUT I THINK ROCKING THE FUCK OUT AT THE MIDDLESEX LOUNGE TONIGHT WILL BE A FINE START!!! STARTS AT 9, COME CELEBRATE OUR HOMECOMING AND RECORD RELEASE TONIGHT !!!

Sounds A-OK to us. And if you can’t make it to Middlesex tonight (we know, we’re posting this article late in the game) then catch the Creeps playing the 2014 Fuzzstival this Saturday at the Middle East. Cambridge all around, yo.
