O-Range ‘Crush’: Yeah Yeah Yeah’s Karen O announces debut solo record

It’s been a little over a year since Mosquito, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ most recent studio record that might be better known for its ridiculous artwork than any real memorable songs. So the tide is high for some solo action from the New York trio, and today frontwoman Karen O</a> announced her debut record Crush Songs. It’s out September 9 here in the U.S., and the day prior in the UK, via Julian Casablancas’ label Cult.

Before it gets the digital and compact disc treatment, Crush Songs will be available on limited edition vinyl, and you can pre-order your copy here.

Karen O, who was nominated for an Oscar for her Spike Jones collaboration “The Moon Song” for Her, also today unveiled a personal note to fans. Read that and check out the album artwork below…
