Edward Sharpe’s Alex Ebert grabbed a fan’s camera phone at Boston Calling and shot some cool video

As expected, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros stole the show during Friday’s opening night of Boston Calling, and we kinda figured they would because their 2009 hit “Home” is one of the best songs we knew we’d hear all weekend.

But while they made the nights of many by simply playing “Home” — even without singer Jade Castrinos in attendance — frontman Alex Ebert went next level for one fan in the front row.

Ebert grabbed the girl’s camera phone and recorded a minute of his own video live from the stage.

so this is the video that alex ebert took on my phone at boston calling AKA the greatest moment in my life

Check out the clip via the fan’s tumblr, the amazingly-named ezr-ugh koenig.
