VMvsic: Haim – The Wire

VMusic_Logo.005.005
[dropcap]H[/dropcap]AIM have long drawn comparisons to Fleetwood Mac, but at first listen ‘The Wire’ evokes the ghost of one Freddie Mercury. Opening stomp-claps give way to breathy and theatrical vocals. Throw in some charging guitar licks and a subliminal dash of Eagles worship, and our interest is piqued for fall’s full length release. The ladies come to Boston’s Paradise Rock Club on September 1.
